1. Introduction
Welcome to the EST platform. By creating an account and using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the company Academic Assessment Ltd, owner of EST, based in London, UK.
2. Account Creation and Personal Information
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process. Any false information may result in the suspension or termination of your account.
- Right to Delete Information: The account owner can, at any time, request the removal of their information from our database and the deletion of their account.
- Access and Edits: The account owner has the right to view and request changes to any of the information provided. For edits, a formal request should be submitted with supporting documentation.
- Proof of Evidence: The company has the right to ask for proof of evidence before completing the edits requested. If the account owner is not satisfied with the company's decision, they can resubmit a request for edits with additional supporting documentation.
- Types of Information Collected: We collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, grade, school name, educational background, contact details of persons, and graduation year.
- Consent for Photo and ID Upload: By creating the account, you approve the upload of a personal photo and a copy of an identification document. Your personal photo will appear on your account and on the admission ticket for the test rounds you register for.
- Review and Contact: The company will review the identification document against the information provided. If inconsistencies are found, the company has the right to contact you and adjust the information provided.
- Account Suspension: The company has the right to suspend your account until the inconsistent information has been edited. The company also has the right to freeze any service requested until the information is corrected.
- Communication: The account owner must check the email provided in the account regularly for any communication the company might send regarding adjustments to the account information.
- Use of Information: This information is used to manage your account, register you for exams, issue official score reports, handle score recheck requests, and share results with the governmental official authorities and educational institutions, such as the Ministry of Education and universities. Sharing information about scores and test registration with a third party, other than the governmental official authorities and educational institutions, is done with the approval of the account owner.
- Data Protection: Your personal information is stored securely and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
3. Authorization to Use Information
- Purpose: By creating an account, you authorize the company to use your personal information for logistical purposes, such as creating personalized test booklets and bubble sheets, creating accounts on the assessment platform, generating individual score reports, generating group score reports for schools and governmental authorities, and designing admission tickets and eligibility letters.
- Communication: You consent to receive communications from the company regarding registration window of future rounds, results, and other relevant information.
- Consent: You agree to receive news and marketing material via email or other means of communication. This may include updates on new exams, special offers, and other relevant information.
4. Exam Registration and Cancellation
- Registration Process: You can register for exams through your account. The registration is confirmed once the payment is successfully processed. The registration closes 4 to 3 weeks prior to the test day. The registration deadline is clearly communicated on our website.
- Registration Fees: All fees are clearly listed during the registration process. Ensure you review the fee structure before proceeding with registration.
- During Registration Window: You may cancel your registration during the registration window. A cancellation fee, as listed in the FAQ section, will apply. The fee amount is subject to change, and it is your responsibility to check the current fee. Refunds are not allowed.
- After Registration Window Closes: No cancellations or refunds are allowed after the registration window closes, except in cases of injury or sickness as detailed in our policy published on the website.
5. Test Day Instructions
- Admission Ticket: Please ensure that you print and bring your admission ticket to the test center. Both color and black & white printing are acceptable. Soft copies (on phone or tablet) might delay your admission to the test center. Not having a copy of the admission ticket could prevent you from accessing the center.
- Test Schedule: Check the test schedule and report to the test center forty-five minutes before your test begins. Keep the admission ticket and the identification card you used when registering with you at all times during the test. Arriving late to the test center might prevent you from being admitted into the testing room and sitting the test.
- Food and Drinks: No food or drinks, except water, are allowed in the testing room unless authorized by the ASSN committee.
- Belongings: All personal belongings, including study materials and electronic devices, should be kept away during the test. Limit your belongings to the necessities.
- Compliance: Failure to abide by the above instructions or those given by the proctors could result in disqualification from taking the test. Additionally, students cannot leave the testing room in the middle of a test and then return to continue to the test for any reason. If a student leaves the testing room, it will be at their own responsibility, and they cannot return to continue the test. They may wait for the next test.
6. Special Needs Accommodations
- Requesting Accommodations: Students with special needs can request accommodations by submitting relevant documentation as per the ASSN policy uploaded on our website. Students cannot submit the documentation at the test center on the day to receive needed accommodations.
- No Extra Charge: There is no extra charge for submitting a request for accommodations. Accommodations are also provided at no extra charge.
- Eligibility: An eligibility letter must be issued by the company before the test day to receive accommodations. Eligibility letters are issued after a thorough review of the documentation requested by the ASSN committee. The committee cannot issue an eligibility letter for missing portfolios.
- Test Day Accommodations (students with an eligibility letter):Students with a complete portfolio and an eligibility letter can benefit from the special accommodations listed in their eligibility letter. Any accommodation provided on the test day without prior approval or not listed in the eligibility letter might lead to test cancellation.
- Test Day Accommodations (students without an eligibility letter):Students without an eligibility letter from the ASSN committee cannot benefit from any accommodations, even if they submit legitimate documentation on the test day at the test center. Any accommodations provided on the test day without prior approval or not listed in their eligibility letter might lead to test cancellation.
7. Score Reports and Rechecks
Official Score Reports
- Request Process: You can request official score reports through your account for any tests you sat in previous rounds. The guide and fees for requesting score reports, for one round or multiple rounds, are also available on our website. It is your responsibility to check the guide on how to request score reports prior to placing the request. The time needed to complete the request, which may vary due to certification processes in each country we operate in, is available on our website.
- Non-Refundable and Non-Cancellable: Once requested, score reports are non-refundable and non-cancellable.
Score Rechecks
- Request Process: You can request a recheck of your scores through your account. Please note that this service opens for a limited amount of time after the release of scores for each round. The service is only available for the last round administered. Students cannot request this service for previous administered rounds. Students who request this service and did not sit for the last administered round will be charged but will not receive the service.
- Non-Refundable and Non-Cancellable: Once requested, score rechecks are non-refundable and non-cancellable.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- Right to Change: We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
- Notification of Changes: Changes will be posted on our website, and it is your responsibility to review them regularly.
- Acceptance of Changes: Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
